Sabudana kheer we generally make during navratri festival or during fasting or vrat days.This is a popular indian sweet that is made with tapioca pearls(sabudana) for fasting days.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sabudana : 250 grams
  2. Milk : 350 ml
  3. Water : 350 ml
  4. 4 to 5 : tbsp sugar
  5. 2 : green cardamoms
  6. 4 : cashews
  7. 7 : raisins

Instructions

  1. RINSE THE SABUDANA PEARLS,ADD IT TO A BOWL ,ADD WATER AND SOAK IT FOR 15-20 MINUTES
  2. TAKE A THICK BOTTOMED PAN,BEGIN TO COOK THE SABUDANA PEARLS
  3. COOK FOR 4-5 MINUTES,MEANWHILE HEAT THE MILK,NEED NOT BOIL, ADD MILK TO THE PAN AND CONTINUE TO COOK
  4. TAKE TWO CARDAMOMS CRUSH IT AND ADD IT
  5. ADD SUGAR TO IT
  6. GIVE A MIX
  7. TAKE A SAUCE PAN HEAT IT AND ADD 1 TBSP GHEE TO IT
  8. ADD 4 CASHEWS AND SAUTE WELL
  9. THEN ADD 7 RAISINS AND SAUTE IT
  10. AFTER FRYING TAKE THEM INTO A PLATE AND KEEP ASIDE
  11. KEEP STIRRING IN THE MIDDLE,CONTINUE TO SIMMER FOR 20-25 MINUTES,ON LOW TO MEDIUM FLAME
  12. SABUDANA KHEER GOT THICKENED
  13. Add dried cashews and raisins and mix well
  14. Sabudana kheer is ready to serve
