Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. sabudana 2/3 cup
  2. 2 medium sized potatoes
  3. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  4. 4 tbsp roasted peanut powder
  5. 1 inch ginger
  6. 4 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  7. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  8. 1 tbsp sugar
  9. salt 1 tbsp or as required
  10. Oil and ghee as required for frying

Instructions

  1. TAKE 3/4 CUP SAGO PEARLS, ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, SET ASIDE TO SOAK FOR 6-8 HOURS
  2. DRY ROAST 1/4 CUP PEANUTS UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  3. ADD TO A MIXER JAR, GRIND TO MAKE A POWDER, SET ASIDE
  4. MASH 2 BOILED & PEELED POTATOES
  5. ADD THE DRAINED & FLUFFED UP SAGO PEARLS, ADD 1 TSP CHOPPED GINGER, 2 TBSP FRESH CORIANDER
  6. ADD THE READY PEANUT POWDER, SALT, 1 TBSP SUGAR, 1/2 TSP ROASTED CUMIN POWDER
  7. ADD 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE, MIX
  8. SHAPE SMALL BALLS OUT OF THE READY MIXTURE
  9. FLATTEN OUT THE SAGO BALLS ON A GREASED PLASTIC SHEET
  10. PLACE THE FLATTENED ROUNDS / THALIPEETH ON A GREASED NONSTICK PAN
  11. FLIP & FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP ON BOTH SIDES, SERVE HOT WITH CHUTNEY
