Sabudana kheer we generally make during navratri festival or during fasting or vrat days.This is a popular indian sweet that is made with tapioca pearls(sabudana) for fasting days.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sabudana : 250 grams
  2. Milk : 350 ml
  3. Water : 350 ml
  4. 4 to 5 : tbsp sugar
  5. 2 : green cardamoms
  6. 4 : cashews
  7. 7 : raisins

Instructions

  1. RINSE 250 GMS SAGO PEARLS, ADD 350 ML WATER, SET ASIDE TO SOAK FOR 15-20 MINS
  2. HEAT A HEAVY- BOTTOMED PAN, ADD THE SOAKED SAGO PEARLS, COOK FOR 4-5 MINS
  3. ADD 350 ML HOT MILK, CONTINUE TO COOK
  4. ADD 2-3 ROUGHLY CRUSHED CARDAMOMS
  5. ADD 4-5 TBSP SUGAR, MIX IN
  6. SIMMER FOR 20-25 MINS ON LOW-MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL THICK
  7. HEAT 1 TBSP GHEE, ADD 4-5 CASHEWS, 6-7 RAISINS, FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  8. THE KHEER IS READY, TOP WITH THE FRIED DRY FRUITS, SERVE HOT OR COLD AS PER CHOICE
