Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Phool Makhana
  2. 3.5 cups milk
  3. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  4. Few saffron strands
  5. 1/3 cup sugar- adjust
  6. 3 tbsp cashews
  7. 2 tbsp ghee

Instructions

  1. HEAT GHEE IN A PAN
  2. ROAST CASHEWS UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. KEEP IT ASIDE
  3. IN SAME PAN, ROAST PHOOL MAKHANA UNTIL CRISP AND LIGHT BROWN. KEEP IT ASIDE
  4. RESERVE 1/2 MAKHANA AND GRIND REMAINING TO COARSE POWDER
  5. BOIL MILK OVER MEDIUM HEAT STIRRING OCCASIONALLY
  6. SIMMER AND COOK MILK FOR 7-8 MINUTES STIRRING IN BETWEEN
  7. ADD SAFFRON AND MIX WELL
  8. ADD COARSE MAKHANA POWDER AND MIX
  9. ADD MAKHANA AND MIX WELL. COOK FOR 8-9 MINUTES
  10. ADD SUGAR AND MIX WELL. COOK FOR 3-4 MINUTES.KEEP STIRRING OCCASIONALLY
  11. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER AND MIX WELL. COOK FOR 1-2 MINUTES
  12. GARNISH WITH ROASTED CASHEWS AND SERVE WARM/COLD
