ABOUT Jeera aloo RECIPE

This jeera aloo recipe is relatively very simple and quick to make.It is made during fasting or vrat days,made of sauteed boiled potatoes with cumin and green chillies.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 medium sized potatoes
  2. Enough water for boiling potatoes
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  5. 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  6. 2 tbsp ghee
  7. 1/2 tsp Rock salt

Instructions

  1. BOIL POTATOES IN A PRESSURE COOKER,TILL THEY ARE TENDER AND COMPLETELY COOKED
  2. PEEL THE POTATOES,TAKE 2 GREEN CHILLIES,1 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS,1/2 TSP LEMON JUICE,2 TBSP GHEE
  3. CHOP POTATOES AND GREEN CHILLIES
  4. IN A PAN HEAT 2 TBSP OF GHEE
  5. ADD 1 1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS ALLOW THEM TO SPLUTTER AND CHANGE THE COLOUR
  6. ADD CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES AND SAUTE FOR A MINUTE
  7. ADD THE CHOPPED POTATOES,MIX
  8. ADD ROCK SALT AND GIVE A MIX,STIR VERY WELL,SAUTE FOR A MINUTE
  9. TURN OFF THE FLAME AND ADD LEMON JUICE
  10. GIVE A MIX
