Papaya Raita is a very refreshing and wholesome side dish which goes well as an accompaniment with any main dish. The goodness of curd and the crunch of raw papaya make for a great combination. Raw papaya contains lot more active enzymes than the ripe version of the fruit and it helps to lose weight. It is also excellent for improving digestion and accelerates wound healing process. This dish is loved by most kids I know making it an excellent option to offer to them due to the succulent taste and associated health benefits.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup chopped raw papaya
  2. 150 grams curd
  3. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  4. 1/2 tsp rock salt
  5. 1 tbsp sugar
  6. 2 green chillies crushed to a paste
  7. 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. WHISK CURD TILL SMOOTH
  2. CURD IS READY
  3. TAKE A KADAI HEAT IT ADD RAW PAPAYA AND 1/2 CUP WATER
  4. COOK FOR 3-4 MINUTES
  5. LET IT COOL DOWN,TAKE IT INTO A BLENDER,MAKE INTO A SMOOTH PASTE
  6. TAKE A BOWL ADD WHISKED CURD,PAPAYA PUREE,ALL SPICES
  7. ADD CRUSHED GREEN CHILLI PASTE
  8. MIX WELL AND DONE
