ABOUT Falahari Jeera Aloo RECIPE

This jeera aloo recipe is relatively very simple and quick to make.It is made during fasting or vrat days,made of sauteed boiled potatoes with cumin and green chillies.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 medium sized potatoes
  2. Enough water for boiling potatoes
  3. 2 green chillies
  4. 1 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
  5. 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  6. 2 tbsp ghee
  7. 1/2 tsp Rock salt

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE, ADD 1.5 TSP CUMIN SEEDS, ALLOW THEM TO SPLUTTER
  2. ADD 2 FINELY CHOPPED GREEN CHILLIES, SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  3. ADD 5-6 BOILED, PEELED & CHOPPED POTATOES, SAUTE
  4. ADD ROCK SALT ( SENDHA NAMAK ) TO TASTE, SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  5. TAKE OFF HEAT, ADD 1/2 TSP LEMON JUICE
  6. MIX WELL, SERVE HOT WITH FALAHARI POORIS / PARANTHAS / RICE
