Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Tomatoes 3
  2. Cashews 3 tbsp
  3. Whole red chilli 2
  4. Ginger 2"
  5. Pepper corn 5
  6. Boiled mashed potatoes 1 cup
  7. Grated cottage cheese 1/2 cup
  8. Hung curd 1/4 cup
  9. Ginger 1 tbsp
  10. Green coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  11. Green chilies 2
  12. Salt 1/2 tesp
  13. Red chilli powder 1/4 tesp
  14. Singada/chestnut flour 2 tbsp
  15. Oil for deep frying
  16. Star anise 1
  17. Javitri 2 threads
  18. Clove 1
  19. Cinnamon 1"
  20. Milk 1/2 cup
  21. Fresh cream 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. IN A PRESSURE COOKER TAKE 3 ROUGHLY CHOPPED TOMATO, 3 TBSP CASHEWS AND 2 WHOLE RED CHILLIES.
  2. ADD 2" GINGER, 5 PEPPER CORN WITH 3/4 TESP SALT.
  3. ADD 1/4 CUP OF WATER.
  4. COOK FOR 2 WHISTLES.
  5. WHEN PRESSURE DROP DOWN, OPEN THE LID AND LET IT COOL COMPLETELY.
  6. TAKE 1 CUP BOILED AND GRATED POTATOES WITH 1/2 CUP GRATED COTTAGE CHEESE.
  7. ADD 1/4 CUP HUNG CURD.
  8. ADD 1 TBSP GRATED GINGER, 2 TBSP CORIANDER LEAVES AND 2 GREEN CHILIES.
  9. ADD 1/4 TESP RED CHILLI POWDER AND 1/2 TESP SALT.
  10. ADD 2 TBSP SINGADA/CHESTNUT FLOUR. MIX WELL.
  11. DIVIDE THE MIXTURE IN LEMON SIZED BALLS.
  12. DROP BALLS IN HOT OIL TO DEEP FRY.
  13. COOK EVENLY.
  14. WHEN DONE DRAIN OUT OF OIL.
  15. TAKE COOLED TOMATO AND CASHEWS IN GRINDER JAR AND GRIND TO FINE PASTE.
  16. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL. SIZZLE STAR ANISE, CINNAMON, CLOVE AND JAVITRI.
  17. ADD GROUND PASTE.
  18. COOK FOR 2 MINUTES.
  19. ADD HALF CUP OF MILK. GIVE A BOIL.
  20. ADD 2 TBSP FRESH CREAM.
  21. SIMMER FOR A MINUTE AND GRAVY IS DONE.
  22. DISH OUT GRAVY AND PLACE FRIED KOFTA BALLS OVER GRAVY.
  23. GARNISH WITH GREEN CORIANDER LEAVES.
