Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cauliflower - 1/2 kg
  2. Potatoes - 2
  3. Tomatoes - 2
  4. Green chilli - 3
  5. Ginger - 1 tspn
  6. Bay leaf - 1
  7. Red chilli - 2
  8. Badi elaichi - 1
  9. Green cardamon - 1
  10. Haldi - 1 tspn
  11. Coriander powder - 3/4 tspn
  12. Black pepper powder- 3/4 tspn
  13. Garam masala - 1 tspn
  14. Kasuri methi -1/2 tspn
  15. Rock salt
  16. Oil/ghee
  17. Water for boiling and gravy

Instructions

  1. CUT CAULIFLOWER AND PUT THEM IN WATER
  2. ALSO ADD POTATOES AND ALLOW THEM TO BOIL
  3. AFTER BOILING, ALLOW THEM TO COOL. REMOVE WATER
  4. GRIND TOMATOES, GINGER AND GREEN CHILLI IN A GRINDER
  5. FORM A PUREE AND KEEP ASIDE
  6. NOW HEAT OIL/GHEE, SAUTE BOILED CAULIFLOWER AND POTATOES
  7. COOK THEM BY STIRRING FOR 5 TO 10 MIN. ADD SALT
  8. IN THE SAME PAN, HEAT OIL, ADD CUMIN SEEDS AND RED CHILLI
  9. ALLOW THEM TO CRACKLE
  10. ADD THE PREPARED PUREE AND SAUTE
  11. START ADDING HALDI, CORIANDER POWDER
  12. GARAM MASALA, PEPPER POWDER AND SALT
  13. COOK TILL MASALA LEAVES OIL AND TURNS BROWN
  14. ADD ELAICHI
  15. NOW ADD WATER, COOK IT FOR ANOTHER 2 MIN
  16. WHEN IT STARTS BOILING, ADD THE FRIED VEGETABLES
  17. MIX WELL
  18. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, CORIANDER LEAVES, COVER AND COOK FOR 15 MIN
