Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated lauki 2 cups
  2. Full fat milk 1 glass
  3. saffron 7-8 strands
  4. Desi ghee 2 tbsp
  5. Mithai mate 1/2 tin
  6. Green cardamom powder 1 tsp
  7. Dry fruits for garnish

Instructions

  1. ADD 2 CUPS OF GRATED LAUKI TO THE PAN.
  2. POUR ONE GLASS OF FULL FAT MILK.
  3. COVER IT WITH LID AND COOK TILL IT BECOMES SOFT.
  4. WHEN LAUKI BECOMES SOFTEN THEN ADD 2 TBSP OF DESI GHEE.
  5. STIRR IT.
  6. ADD SAFFRON WHICH GIVES NICE COLOUR TO BURFI.
  7. NOW ADD 1/2 TIN OF MITHAIMATE.
  8. STIRR IT CONTINUOUSLY ON HIGH FLAME TILL IT BECOMES THICK CONSISTENCY.
  9. WHEN IT REACHED ON THICK CONSISTENCY ADD CARDAMOM POWDER.
  10. COOK IT FOR MORE 10 MIN AND THEN SWITCH OFF THE FLAME.
  11. NOW TRANSFER THE BURFI MIX TO THE PLATE.
  12. FLATTEN IT PROPERLY.
  13. SPRINKLE SOME DRY FRUITS LIKE BADAM, PISTA.
  14. KEEP IT FOR SET.
  15. NOW CUT IT IN SUQARE PIECE.
  16. LAUKI BURFI IS READY TO SERVE.
