ALMOND HALWA ! BY RAMANI THIAGARAJAN !
Take 1/2 Cup (90 grams) Almond soaked in hot water and blanched ! Ghee 1/3 Cup ( 70 grams)
Take 1/2 Cup (100 grams) Sugar and 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder !
Take 2 Pinch Saffron soaked in warm water !
Grind Almond in a Mixie jar coarsely ! Add Saffron soaked water !
In a saucepan add ground almond,Little Ghee and Sugar !
Mix well !
Add some Ghee and cook !
Stir all to gather !
Add some Ghee and cook!
Add Cardamom Powder !
Stir and cook until lumping !
Cook over low heat !
Take a tiny portion and form in to a ball !
If it forms a soft ball not sticky then it is done !
Decorate and serve warm !
