ABOUT Crispy Chakli RECIPE

These crispy chaklis are made instantly using rice flour,curd and cream.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Rice flour 1 & 1/4 cups
  2. Wheat flour 1/2 cup
  3. Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  4. Fresh curd 3 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  8. Sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  9. Asafetida 1 pinch

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1-1/4 CUPS RICE FLOUR, ADD 1/2 CUP WHEAT FLOUR
  2. ADD SALT, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC, 2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, A PINCH OF ASAFOETIDA
  3. ADD 2 TBSP SESAME SEEDS, 3 TBSP CURD
  4. ADD 1/2 CUP FRESH CREAM (MALAI), MIX
  5. KNEAD A SOFT DOUGH, ADDING 2 TBSP WATER IF REQUIRED
  6. APPLY OIL, SET ASIDE THE READY DOUGH FOR 10 MINS
  7. GREASE A CHAKLI PRESS WITH A LITTLE OIL
  8. MAKE A CYLINDRICAL DOUGH WITH THE RESTED DOUGH, SLIDE IT IN
  9. PRESS OUT THE CHAKLIS ON BUTTER PAPER
  10. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM HEAT
  11. FLIP & FRY FROM BOTH SIDES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, COOL & STORE IN AN AIR TIGHT CONTAINER
