ABOUT NIPPAT OR THATTAI CHAAT ! RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Processed rice flour-1 Cup
  2. Roasted Bengal gram dal powder-3 Tbsps
  3. Butter-3 Tbsps
  4. oil-1/2 liter
  5. Sesame seeds-3 tsps
  6. Grated Carrots-4 Tbsps
  7. Grated Beetroot-4 Tbsps
  8. Small onions- 1/4 kg
  9. Mint leaves- a bunch
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Ginger Garlic Green chilies paste 2 tbsps
  12. Red chilies- 4
  13. Green chilies 5

Instructions

  1. NIPPAT OR THATTAI CHAAT ! BY RAMANI THIAGARAJAN !
  2. Take Rice flour 1 Cup,Roasted Bengal gram dal Powder 3 Tbsps,Hing 1/2 tsp,Salt to taste
  3. In a bowl mix all ingredients with melted butter and Ginger Garlic Green chilies paste !
  4. Grease a ziplock bag and place dough balls! Place another greased bag over dough balls and press !
  5. Flatten and make Thattais !
  6. Drop the Thattai in the hot oil over medium heat !
  7. Fry over medium heat !
  8. Flip and fry until crispy and golden brown !
  9. Take fried Thattais,grated Carrots,grated beetroot !
  10. Grind tomatoes,red chilies small onions,Salt for red Chutney !GrindMint,Small onions,Green chilies
  11. Take for Chutneys !
  12. Smear spicy green chutney ! Add lemon juice to green Chutney !
  13. Place grated carrots !
  14. Place grated beetroot !
  15. Arrange all !
  16. Place finely chopped onions !
  17. Place spicy red chutney !
  18. Close with another Thattai smeared with spicy red chutney !
  19. Place Chopped Coriander leaves !
  20. Crunchy sandwiched NIPPAT or THATTAI Chaat is ready !
