Spicy south Indian garlic chutney that goes great with idli, dosa, roti and bread too

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Garlic- 10-12 pods
  2. Onion- 3
  3. Dry red chillies- 5
  4. Tamarind- 1" piece
  5. Ghee- 2 tsp
  6. Salt- s er tatse

Instructions

  1. CHOP ONIONS AND PEEL GARLIC
  2. HEAT GHEE IN A WIDE PAN
  3. ADD ONIONS, CHILLIES AND SAUTE IN MEDIUM FLAME
  4. SAUTE TILL ONIONS TURNS TRANSLUCENT.
  5. SWITCH OFF THE FLAME AND ADD GARLIC, TAMARIND, SALT AND MIX ONCE.
  6. WHEN THE MIXTURE COOLS DOWN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE ADD THEM TO YOUR BLENDER
  7. GRIND THEM TO FINE PASTE
  8. EMPTY THE CHUTNEY TO SERVING BOWL, ADD 1 TSP GHEE, MIX AND SERVE WITH HOT IDLIS
  9. TIP: YOU CAN SAUTE A TOMATO AND ADD WHILE GRINDING TO REDUCE SPICINESS
