Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. tamarind lemon size
  2. Raw rice 1 cup
  3. Tur dal 1/2 cup
  4. turmeric
  5. hing
  6. salt
  7. garlic
  8. Green chillies 2
  9. Sambar powder
  10. curry leaves
  11. Corriander leaves
  12. Vegetables of your choice
  13. ghee
  14. onion 2 big size

Instructions

  1. SOAK A LIME SIZED BALL OF TAMARIND IN A LITTLE WATER
  2. SOAK 1 CUP RICE & 1/2 CUP TUVAR / ARHAR DAL
  3. IN 1 TBSP HOT OIL, ADD ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD, 1/4 TSP CUMIN & 1/4 TSP METHI
  4. ADD 2 ONIONS, 2 GREEN CHILLIES, A FEW CURRY LEAVES & 5-6 GARLIC CLOVES
  5. ADD VEGGIES OF YOUR CHOICE
  6. ADD SOAKED TAMARIND EXTRACT
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC, A PINCH OF HING & SALT TO TASTE
  8. ADD 2 TBSP SAMBAR POWDER AND BOIL THE MIXTURE
  9. ADD THE SOAKED RICE & TUVAR DAL WITH 3 CUPS OF WATER
  10. ADD A HANDFUL OF CORIANDER LEAVES
  11. PRESSURE COOK FOR 5 WHISTLES
  12. SERVE HOT WITH GHEE & PAPAD
