Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tuvr dar 1/2 cup
  2. Channa dal 1/2 cup
  3. Dry red chilli 4
  4. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
  5. Banana flower - 1 full bunch
  6. Salt 1 tsp
  7. Hing [asafoetida] - 1/4 th tsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. Roasted channa dal 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. RINSE AND SOAK EQUAL QTY OF TUVR DAL AND CHANNA DAL FOR 3 HRS
  2. GET THICK FLORETS FROM BANANA FLOWER
  3. REMOVE STEM AND PETAL FROM FLORETS
  4. CUT THE FLORETS GENTLY
  5. RINSE THE FLORETS IN RUNNING WATER
  6. GRIND SOAKED TUVR DAL, CHANNA DAL, HING, SALT, REDCHILLIES AND TURMERIC COARSELY
  7. MIX FENNEL SEEDS , VADA MIX AND FLORETS
  8. STRAIN YOUR HANDS AND MAKE A BALL
  9. USE BOTH HANDS AND PAT IT GENTLY. VADA SHOULD BE FLAT AND MODERATELY THICK.
  10. FLIP ON BOTH SIDES AND DEEP FRY THE VADA UNTILL IT IS COOKED
  11. STRAIN THE EXCESS OIL
  12. SERVE WITH KETCHUP
