ABOUT Pin Wheel Samosa RECIPE

Pin wheel samosa is yummiest Evening snack or you can even prepare them as a starter for your party. Medium spicy, it is appropriate for kids party too. A similar snacks called 'Bhakharvadi 'is prepared by gujjus which uses dry stuffing. You can also freeze the prepared pin wheel samosas and fry it next day if you have party at your home!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Mashed potato -approx 400 gm
  2. Refined wheat flour /Maida -200 gm
  3. Chopped Green chilly -1
  4. Chopped Coriander leaves-1
  5. Cumin seeds -1/2teaspoon
  6. Carom seeds-1/2 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon
  8. Red chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala -1/4 teaspoon
  10. Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Coriander powder -1 teaspoon
  13. Dry mango powder / amchur powder -1/2 teaspoon
  14. Ghee -1 tablespoon
  15. Water to make maida dough
  16. Oil for frying pin wheel samosas

Instructions

  1. IN 500 GMS BOILED & MASHED POTATOES, ADD ALL THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE STUFFING
  2. INGREDIENTS FOR INSIDE STUFFING MASHED POTATO -400 GM CUMIN SEEDS-1/2 TSP CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI-1 CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES TURMERIC POWDER-1/4TSP RED CHILLI POWDER-1/2 TSP CORIANDER POWDER-1 TSP GARAM MASALA-1/2 TSP DRY MANGO POWDER-1/2 TSP GINGER PASTE - 1/2 TSP SALT TO TASTE
  3. MIX & KEEP ASIDE
  4. ADD 1/2 TSP CAROM SEEDS, SALT TO TASTE & 1 TBSP GHEE TO 200 GMS FLOUR
  5. KNEAD INTO A SOFT DOUGH, KEEP ASIDE
  6. ROLL OUT ROTIS FROM A THICK PIECE OF THE DOUGH
  7. SPREAD THE PREPARED FILLING ON TOP OF THE ROTI, START ROLLING FROM ONE END
  8. ROLL TILL THE OTHER END, CUT INTO MEDIUM STRIPS TO MAKE PIN WHEELS
  9. MIX 1/2 CUP WATER IN 1 TBSP FLOUR TO MAKE A SMOOTH PASTE
  10. DIP EACH SLICE INTO THE SLURRY AND DEEP FRY
  11. FRY TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  12. SERVE HOT
