Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Potato 1 large
  2. Mustard Oil 2 tbsp
  3. Green chilli 1 chopped
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Dal vadi few
  7. Yellow mustard seed 1/4 tsp
  8. Chopped green coriander leaves few for garnishing
  9. Dry red chilli 2-3

Instructions

  1. INGREDIENTS : POTATO 1 LARGE GREEN CHILLI 1 CHOPPED ONION 1 SMALL CHOPPED TURMERIC POWDER 1/2 TSP MUSTARD SEED 1/4 TSP MUSTARD OIL 2 TBSP DRY RED CHILLI 2-3 SALT AS PER TASTE DAL VADI FEW CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES FOR GARNISHING
  2. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL IN A PAN, ADD FEW DAL VADI. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC POWDER AND SALT. SAUTE FOR 3-4 MINUTES OR UNTIL THEY ARE LIGHT RED
  3. BOIL 1 POTATO FOR 4-5 WHISTLE , ONCE POTATO COOLED DOWN PEEL IT AND CUT IN PIECES
  4. NOW MASH THE POTATO WITH THE HELP OF MASHER OR BACK OF A FORK
  5. ADD SALT AND MIX WELL WITH THE MASHED POTATO
  6. HEAT 1 TBSP MORE OIL IN THE SAME PAN
  7. ADD DRY RED CHILLIES 2-3 AND MUSTARD SEED 1/4 TSP
  8. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION, SAUTE UNTIL LIGHT BROWN
  9. ADD 1 CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI
  10. ADD TURMERIC POWDER 1/4 TSP AND SALT AS PER TASTEAND SAUTE FOR 1 MINUTE
  11. ADD MASHED POTATO AND MIX WELL WITH SPICES
  12. SAUTE FOR 2-3 MINUTES IN LOW HEAT
  13. BREAK THE FRIED DAL VADI WITH YOUR HAND
  14. MIX BROKEN DAL BADI WITH THE MASHED POTATO IN LOW HEAT. CHECK SALT, ADJUST AS PER YOUR TASTE. SWITCH OFF GAS. GARNISH WITH CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
