Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled and mashed potatoes 3
  2. Soaked Bengal gram 1cup
  3. Onion 1
  4. Fennel seed 1tsp
  5. Cinnamon small piece
  6. Cloves 3
  7. green chillies 3
  8. Curry Leaves handful
  9. Oil for frying
  10. Salt to taste
  11. For POTATO PAKODA CURRY
  12. Boiled potatoe cubes 4
  13. Onion 2
  14. Tomatoes 4
  15. coriander leaves little
  16. Fennel seed 1tsp
  17. Cinnamon small piece
  18. Cloves 3
  19. Cardamom 1
  20. Oil 2tbsp
  21. Sambhar powder 2tsp
  22. Tumeric powder 1/2tsp
  23. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. POTATO PAKODA CURRY GET READY WITH ALL THE INGREDIENTS. SOAK BENGAL GRAM FOR 30MTS AND KEEP IT ASIDE.
  2. COARSELY POWDER 1 TSP FENNEL, 3 CLOVES & 1 STICK CINNAMON
  3. ADD 1 CUP PRE SOAKED ( FOR 30 MINS ) BENGAL GRAM DAL & COARSELY GRIND
  4. ADD THE GROUND MIXTURE INTO 3 BOILED & MASHED POTATOES, 3 GREEN CHILLIES, A HANDFUL OF CURRY LEAVES, 2 ONIONS & SALT TO TASTE
  5. MIX INTO A STIFF BATTER
  6. DEEP FRY SMALL BITS OF BATTER ON MEDIUM HEAT
  7. TAKE OFF HEAT WHEN GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP, KEEP ASIDE
  8. IN 2 TBSP HOT OIL, ADD 1 TSP FENNEL SEEDS, 2 STICKS CINNAMON, 3 CLOVES & 1 CARDAMOM
  9. ADD 2 ONIONS & SAUTE TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  10. ADD 4 TOMATOES
  11. ADD 1/2 TSP OF TURMERIC, 1 .5 TBSP SAMBAR POWDER & SALT TO TASTE
  12. MIX & ADD 4 BOILED POTATOES
  13. ADD 1.5 CUPS WATER, BRING TO A BOIL
  14. ADD THE POTATO PAKODAS INTO THE CURRY
  15. SIMMER FOR 30 MINS
  16. GARNISH WITH CORIANDER, SERVE HOT
