ABOUT Spinach Ganthiya RECIPE

These healthy green ganthiyas are made from chickpea flour,rice flour and spinach.These ganthiyas have a nice flavour from mint leaves and the chaat masala which we sprinkle on them.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Chickpea flour(besan)-2 cups
  2. Rice flour-1/2 cup
  3. Spinach-25-30 leaves
  4. Mint leaves-1 tablespoon
  5. Green Chillies-2
  6. Ginger-1 inch
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Carom seeds-1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Add 2 tablespoon water into 25-30 spinach leaves and blanch for 2 minutes
  2. Grind 1 tablespoonmint leaves, 2 green chillies,1 inch piece of ginger and the blanched spinach with little water
  3. Mix 2 cups of chickpea flourand 1/2 cup rice flour
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon carrom seed and salt to taste.
  5. Add 1 cup spinach puree
  6. Whisk lightly in one direction to get a fluffy batter
  7. Fill the batter in a greased ganthiya mould
  8. Press the batter into hot oil in a circular motion
  9. Flip and cook on the other side after 1 minute
  10. Remove from oil
  11. Sprinkle some chat masala powder.Cool and store in an airtight container.
