Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For outer layer:
  2. Refined flour 1 cup
  3. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Sugar 1 teaspoon
  5. Cold water as required
  6. Milk 4 tablespoon
  7. Salt 3/4 teaspoon
  8. Ghee or oil 2 teaspoon
  9. For stuffing:
  10. Boiled chickpeas 1 cup
  11. Chopped green chilli and ginger 1 teaspoon
  12. Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  13. Chana masala 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Chilly powder 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  18. Pinch of Asafoetida
  19. Oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup flour, add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon salt
  2. Add 1 teaspoon castor sugar
  3. Add 2 teaspoon ghee and 4 tabespoon milk
  4. Mix and add 2 talespoon green chutney
  5. Add sufficient water and knead into a dough
  6. Brush some ghee over it and keep it rest
  7. Add 1 teaspoon hot oil, Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and 1 teaspoon ginger and green chilies
  8. Add 1/2 teaspoonchilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and 1 teaspoon chana masala
  9. Add 1 teaspoon coriander powder and salt to taste
  10. Add 1 cup boiled chickpeas and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  11. Add 1 tablespoon fresh coriander and remove from heat.Let it cool.
  12. Divide the ready dough into 6 portions and make smooth balls of it.
  13. Roll into pooris and place 2 tablespoon stuffing on top.
  14. Apply flour + water slurry on the edges
  15. Fold it and seal the edges
  16. Place Calzones on a flour dusted baking tray and brush with a little ghee on top
  17. Prick the Calzones
  18. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes
  19. Serve hot
