Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Hung curd 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1 cup
  3. Grounded sugar 1/4 cup
  4. Saffron strands 3
  5. Chopped Cashew and pistachio or any nuts of your choice 2 tablespoon
  6. One teaspoon ghee to grease the plate


  1. Take a heavy bottom pan and add one cup of hung curd and one cup of sugar in it
  2. Mix well and place on low heat
  3. Stir continuously till sugar melts
  4. Keep stirring till water gets evaporated
  5. Add saffaron and 2 tablespoon of cashew and pistachio.Mix well and keep stirring.
  6. When mixture has thickened and leaving the pan add 1/ 4 cup grounded sugar in it and mix well.
  7. Now take the pan off the heat.
  8. Spread evenly with the help of spatula or any flat surface
  9. Now transfer the mixture in a greased plate
  10. Garnish it with chopped cashew and cut into desired shapes
  11. Cool down Shrikhand barfi and it is ready to serve
