ABOUT Apple Coconut Barfi RECIPE

Make these colourful and easy apple and coconut barfi for a delocious diwali treat.These are made with the goodness of juicy red apples and fresh coconut.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fresh coconut 1 1/2 cups
  2. ghee 3 tablespoon
  3. Red apples grated 3 cups
  4. Milk powder 1 cup
  5. sugar 3/4 cup
  6. elaichi powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. saffron a pinch(dissolved in 1 tablespoon warm milk)
  8. salt a pinch
  9. Pistachos chopped 2 tablespoon
  10. almonds chopped 2 tablespoon
  11. Dried rose petals 1tablespoon

Instructions

  1. FRESH COCONUT GRATED 1 1/2 CUPS GHEE 3TBSP RED APPLES GRATED 3 CUPS MILK POWDER 1 CUP SUGAR 3/4 CUP ELAICHI POWDER 1/2 TSP SAFFRON A PINCH PISTACHIOS 2 TBSP ALMONDS 2 TBSP DRIED ROSE PETALS 1TBSP
  2. Grease a pan with little ghee and set aside.
  3. Dry roast the coconut on medium low heat for a minute.
  4. Take out in bowl and set aside
  5. Melt ghee in a pan.
  6. Add grated apples and cook on a medium flame till all the mixtures are dry.Stir often.
  7. Add coconut,milk powder and sugar to the mixture.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Add safforon,elachi powder ,few almonds and pistachios
  10. Mix well and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes or till the mixture becomes dry and turns into a soft,fudgy form
  11. Soft fudgy mixture is ready
  12. Pour the mixture on a greased pan
  13. Smooth the mixture evenly
  14. Sprinkle the leftover nuts and rose petals on top
  15. Let it cool.
  16. Cover the tray with a cling wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours
  17. Apple Coconut Barfi is ready to serve.
