ABOUT Tomato rasam RECIPE

It's a easy recip. Grind tomato,pepper,jeera,curry leaves,turmeric,garlic and asafoetida together.add the grinded mixture into water and salt.now the rasam water is ready. In a kadai heat oil, add mustard seeds and urad dal and add dry red chilli after that add the rasam water and boil until the water gets rolling. Switchoff and garnish with cofiander leaves

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tomato 1
  2. Green chilli 1
  3. Curry leaves 2 sprig
  4. Peppercorn 1teaspoon
  5. Jeera 1teaspoon
  6. Asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Garlic 5 cloves
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Water 2 cups
  11. oil
  12. Mustard seeds and urad dal 1teaspoon
  13. Dry Red chilli 1
  14. Coriander leaves


  1. Grind tomato,garlic,pepper,jeera,turmeric,asafoetida,curryleaves together
  2. Ground mixture looks like this.
  3. Mix this paste in water. Now you get a rasam water
  4. In a kadai/pan heat oil add mustard seeds,urad dal,red chilli after that add the rasam water
  5. Boil till rasam get rolling. Don't over boil it. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
