Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. cornflour 1 cup
  2. water 2 cup
  3. ghee 4 tablespoon
  4. cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Melon seeds1 tablespoon
  6. Chopped almonds
  7. Pinch of yellow colour
  8. Tartri1 teaspoon
  9. For sugar syrup
  10. sugar 1 cup
  11. water 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Add cup corn flour in a bowl
  2. Add 2 cup water
  3. Heat a pan and add 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water
  4. Heat till sugar melts
  5. Add corn flour mixture into sugar syrup by stir continuously
  6. Start thickens
  7. Add 1 teaspoon tartri
  8. Add 2 tablespoon ghee and with continues stir
  9. When it get more thick , add 2 tablespoon ghee again
  10. Pinch of yellow colour
  11. Add 1 tablespoon melon seeds
  12. Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  13. Take out in a greased mould
  14. Press gently and sprinkle some chopped almonds
  15. Demould it after 1/2 an hour and cut into pieces
  16. Soft , spongy karachi halwa is ready
