ABOUT Rose flavoured Langcha RECIPE

Langcha is basically a Bangali recepie made of cottage cheese, very similar to North Indian Kala jam,but I made it with milk powder, cottage cheese and Khoya. I flavored it with Rose essence, the flavor and aroma of which has come up very beutifully. You feel the freshness of rose with sweetness of Langcha in every bite.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Cottage cheese 50 grams
  2. Khoya 50 grams
  3. Milk powder 1.5 cup
  4. Milk 1/2 cup
  5. Oil or ghee to fry langcha
  6. Silver vark to garnish
  7. For sugar syrup
  8. sugar 2 cups
  9. water 3/4 cups
  10. cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  11. rose essence 1 teaspoon


  1. Mash cottage cheese
  2. Make it smooth
  3. Add grated khoya
  4. Mix well in cottage cheese
  5. Add milk powder
  6. Add maida
  7. Mix well
  8. Add little amount of milk
  9. Mix well
  10. Make a soft dough keep aside for 5 minutes
  11. Grease your hands and take out small ball from the dough and make a oblong shape
  12. Make all langchas like this
  13. Heat oil and fry them on medium heat
  14. Fry till golden brown
  15. Add sugar and water togeather and make one string syrup
  16. Add cardmom powder
  17. Add rose essence
  18. Add your ready langcha in hot sugar syrup
  19. Flip them couple of time
  20. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes
