ABOUT Gluten Free Laddoos RECIPE

Recipe of cocoanut laddoo is well known maharastrian's recipe years back my mother started adding makhane in these laddoos to make it more healthy and nutritious as makhane( lotus seeds popcorn ) are good source of proteins , magnesium , potassium , phosphorus , iron and zinc . It is low in calories and high in fiber.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Fresh cocoanut 1/2 (approximately 1/2 cup)
  2. Makhane (Lotus seeds popcorn) 1 cup
  3. Dry fruits of your choice (chopped) 3 tablespoon (I have used almonds, cashews and resin one spoon each)
  4. Sugar 1/4 cup
  5. Clarified Butter 2 teaspoon + 2 teaspoon


  1. In 2 teaspoon hot ghee, fry 1/4 cup cashews and almonds, keep aside
  2. Fry 1/4 cup makhane till Crisp, cool and grind
  3. Grind 1 cup fresh coconut and 1/4 cup sugar
  4. In 2 teaspoon hot ghee, add the Ground coconut mix and fry Till dry
  5. Take off heat and add the Roasted dry fruits and the Ground makhane
  6. Mix and transfer to a plate
  7. Shape into laddoos while The mixture is still warm, Cool and store in an air tight Container
