Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup Basmati Rice
  2. 150 grams button mushrooms
  3. 2 onions, thinly sliced
  4. 1 Tomato, thinly sliced
  5. Salt
  6. 3 tbsp ghee
  7. 1 star aniseed
  8. 2 cardamom
  9. few kalpasi
  10. 3 cloves
  11. small piece Cinnamon
  12. 1 bay leaf
  13. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  14. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  15. 1/2 tsp chilly powder
  16. 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves
  17. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  18. 2 green chillies
  19. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. FRY 1 BAY LEAF, 1 CINNAMON STICK, 3 CLOVES & 1 CUP SLICED ONIONS IN 3 TBSP HOT GHEE
  2. ADD 2 GREEN CHILLIES, 1 TBSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE, SAUTE TILL MASALA TURNS BROWN
  3. ADD 150 GMS SLICED MUSHROOMS, COOK TILL SOFT
  4. ADD 1 TOMATO & 3/4 CUP FRESH CORIANDER & MINT
  5. ADD 1/4 TSP TURMERIC & RED CHILLI
  6. ADD 1 TSP GARAM MASALA, MIX
  7. ADD 3 CUPS WATER, SALT TO TASTE & 2 TBSP LEMON JUICE
  8. ADD 1 CUP PRE SOAKED RICE, COVER & COOK FOR 20 MINS
  9. SERVE HOT
