Bread gulab jamun is basically a quick and cheat version to traditional khoya gulab jamun recipe. In other words breads are powered to breadcrumbs which is then mixed with milk powder. It is then followed by the same procedure of khoya or milk powder gulab jamun. Which is to deep fry in ghee and dip in sugar syrup. The advantageous of preparing jamuns from bread is no need to use baking soda. This is a insntant version of gulab jamun recipe with powdered bread crumbs and milk powder. Perhaps one of the easiest gulab jamun recipe out of all the variations. Trust me this can be easy alternative especialy if you have some left over breads.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fresh Bread slices 8
  2. Milk powder 3 tbsp
  3. Milk cream 1tbsp
  4. Milk 1/4 cup
  5. Oil to deep fry
  6. Ghee 1 tbsp
  7. Lemon juice 1/2 tsp
  8. Water 1 cup
  9. sugar 1 cup
  10. Almonds 4 grated
  11. Rose petals 1
  12. Pistachios chopped 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. TRIM EDGES OF BREAD , SLICE AND GRIND TO CRUMBS
  2. MIX WELL POWDERED BREAD, 3 TBSP MILK POWDER, 1/4 CUP MILK, 1 TBSP MILK CREAM IN A BOWL
  3. KNEAD INTO A SMOOTH DOUGH
  4. BOIL 1 CUP WATER + 1 CUP SUGAR, 1/2 TSP LEMON JUICE AND 1 TSP CARDAMOM POWDER
  5. WITH GHEE GREASED PALMS, TAKE A LITTLE DOUGH, STUFF A PINCH OF PISTACHIOS IN DOUGH BALL
  6. SHAPE WELL INTO SMOOTH BALLS
  7. FRY IN HOT OIL TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  8. SOAK IN SUGAR SYRUP FOR 1 HOUR
  9. GARNISH WITH ALMONDS AND ROSE PETALS. SERVE HOT.
