Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 kg.boneless chicken
  2. 1/2 kg basmati rice
  3. 2 dalchini
  4. 2 cloves
  5. 4 tbsp Ghee/oil
  6. 3 onions
  7. 6-7 green chili, slit
  8. ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  9. 4 bay leaf
  10. 1 tsp crushed Kasuri methi
  11. Salt and pepper to taste
  12. N/A
  13. 1 tomato, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. WASH AND SOAK RICE IN 1 LITRE WATER. ADD ALL WHOLE SPICES IN SOAKED RICE. KEEP IT ASIDE FOR 30 MINUTES. GRIND ONIONS, GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND 4 GREEN CHILI TO SMOOTH PASTE
  2. BOIL CHICKEN WITH KASURI METHI, SALT ,PEPPER AND TOMATO
  3. COOK CHICKEN UNTIL TENDER
  4. HEAT GHEE/OIL IN A COOKER. ADD 2 BAY LEAVES AND SAUTE FOR FEW SECONDS
  5. ADD GROUND PASTE AND SAUTE FOR 4-5 MINUTES
  6. ADD SOAKED RICE WITH SPICES. MIX WELL. COVER AND COOK OVER LOW-MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL RICE IS DONE
  7. ADD FOOD COLOR TO 3 TBSP COOKED RICE AND MIX WELL
  8. ADD COOKED RICE TO CHICKEN
  9. ADD COLORED RICE AND REMAINING GREEN CHILIES.
  10. MIX WELL
  11. SERVE HOT WITH RAITA
