ABOUT Flower Chakli RECIPE

Savoury snake in flower shape. Its my own idea. Chaklis are usually prepared with chakli maker. Its no presser chakli.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice flour 1 cup
  2. Roasted Urad dal flour 1 tbsp
  3. Hing - 1 pinch
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Butter 1 tbsp
  6. Ajwain 1/4 tsp
  7. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. DRY ROAST 1 TBSP URAD DAL FLOUR
  2. ADD 1 CUP RICE FLOUR, HING AND SALT IN A BOWL
  3. ADD 1 TBSP BUTTER, ROASTED URAD DAL FLOUR AND AJWAIN. MIX WELL
  4. ADD WATER AND KNEAD SMOOTH STIFF DOUGH
  5. DIVIDE DOUGH INTO EQUAL PORTIONS AND SHAPE INTO LEMON SIZED BALLS
  6. GREASE A SMALL PLATE
  7. FLATTEN THE DOUGH ON THE PLATE
  8. USE A KNIFE TO CUT CIRCLE IN TO 5 EQUAL PARTS
  9. BRING THE CORNER OF EACH PART TOGETHER TO SHAPE PETALS OF FLOWER
  10. FLOWER CHAKLI IS READY
  11. GENTLY PLACE THE PLATE IN HOT OIL
  12. REMOVE THE PLATE WHEN CHAKLI SEPARATES FROM IT . DEEP FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. ALLOW TO COOL COMPLETELY AND STORE IN AIR TIGHT CONTAINER
