Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large apples, peeled
  2. 1 tbsp ghee
  3. 4 cups milk
  4. 4-5 tbsp sugar
  5. 3-4 crushed green cardamom
  6. 2 tbsp finely chopped almonds
  7. 2 tbsp finely chopped pistachio
  8. 1 tbsp desiccated coconut

Instructions

  1. CORE AND GRATE APPLES AND KEEP IT ASIDE
  2. HEAT 4 CUPS MILK IN A HEAVY BOTTOM VESSEL
  3. IN SEPARATE PAN, HEAT 1 TBSP GHEE/CLARIFIED BUTTER
  4. ADD GRATED APPLE AND MIX WELL
  5. SAUTE APPLES FOR 2-3 MINUTES OVER LOW FLAME. KEEP IT ASIDE
  6. KEEP STIRRING MILK TILL IT STARTS BOILING. SIMMER AND COOK MILK FOR 10 MINUTES
  7. ADD 4-5 TBSP SUGAR AND MIX WELL UNTIL SUGAR DISSOLVES
  8. ADD 1 TSP CRUSHED CARDAMOM SEEDS AND 2 TBSP CHOPPED PISTACHIO. MIX WELL
  9. ADD 2 TBSP FINELY CHOPPED ALMONDS
  10. COOK FOR 2 MINUTES WITH CONTINUOUS STIRRING. ADD ROASTED APPLES AND MIX
  11. ADD 1 TBSP DESICCATED COCONUT AND MIX WELL
  12. COOK FOR FEW SECONDS AND COOK KHEER TO ROOM TEMPERATURE
  13. POUR KHEER IN SERVING BOWLS
  14. GARNISH WITH ALMOND-PISTA SLIVERS AND SERVE
