ABOUT Whole Wheat Tortilla Salad RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole wheat Tortilla 2 pcs
  2. Onion finely chopped 4 tbsp
  3. Tomato finely chopped 4 tablespoons
  4. Iceberg lettuce 1/4 cup
  5. Cucumbers julian's 1/8 cup
  6. Yellow bell peppers cut length wise 1/8 cup
  7. Red bell pepper cut lengthwise 1/8 cup
  8. Chopped coriander 2 tablespoons
  9. Diet mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  10. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Garam Masala 1/2 spoon

Instructions

  1. Roll the roti/ tortilla and cut into strips.
  2. Add finely chopped onion, tomato and coriander in a bowl.
  3. Add 1/2 tsp garam masala and salt to taste.
  4. Add 2 tbsp mayonnaise.
  5. Add 1 tsp lemon juice and mix well.
  6. Add the tortilla/roti strips.
  7. Lightly toss the strips in the dressing with your hands.
  8. Remove the roti/tortilla strips.
  9. Add iceberg lettuce to the leftover dressing.
  10. Toss till lightly coated.
  11. Place lettuce below the roti/tortilla strips.
  12. Add cucumber and red and yellow bell peppers in the remaining dressing.
  13. Add vegetables over the roti/tortilla and top with sliced almonds.
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves and a sprinkle of garam masala.
