ABOUT Quick Apple Semolina Kheer RECIPE

It is a quick, healthy and tasty kheer or pudding prepared from apples, semolina and milk. Require less time for preparation. My daughter is fond of this kheer and i have been preparing this at my home since last so many years. Overripe apples can be utilized for making thia yummy dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Red apples - 2 peeled and grated
  2. semolina or suji - 2tbsp
  3. sugar - 2-3 tbsp
  4. Milk - 1 1/2 cup
  5. cream - 2 tbsp
  6. nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  8. Crushed dry fruits - 1 tbsp
  9. water - 4-5 tbsp
  10. salt a small pinch (optional)

Instructions

  1. KEEP ALL INGREDIENTS READY.
  2. HEAT GHEE IN A NON-STICK PAN. ADD 2 PEELED GRATED RED APPLES.SAUTE FOR FEW SECONDS.
  3. ADD 2 TBSP SUGAR. MIX WELL TILL SUGAR DISSOLVES.SOME APPLES ARE QUITE SWEET ADJUST SUGAR ACCORDINGLY
  4. DRY ROAST SEMOLINA IN A PAN TILL BROWN AND CRISP.
  5. ADD ROASTED SEMOLINA IN APPLE MIXTURE. MIX WELL.
  6. ADD 1 CUP WARM MILK. STIR.
  7. ADD 1 TBSP CRUSHED DRY FRUITS, 1 TSP CARDAMOM & 1/2 TSP NUTMEG POWDER. MIX.
  8. ADD 2 TBSP CREAM. MIX WELL.
  9. ADD 1/2 CUP MILK AND 4 TBSP WARM WATER. STIR WELL.
  10. IF REQUIRED ADD MORE WARM MILK TO ADJUST CONSISTENCY. ADD A PINCH OF SALT. MIX.
  11. GARNISH WITH DRY FRUITS. SERVE HOT.
