I learnt this recipe from my husband. Falafel is usually served with pita bread and curd dip. I loved the taste and prepared dahi falafel recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For Falafel
  2. Soaked chickpeas 2 cup
  3. Shallots 6 / Onion 1
  4. Fried Garlic 6
  5. Pepper whole 1 tsp
  6. Jeera 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  8. Turmeric
  9. Coriander leaves
  10. Salt
  11. Besan 1 tbsp
  12. oil for deep fry
  13. For garnishing
  14. Papdi
  15. Sweet/ Plain Dahi
  16. Chat masala
  17. Red chilli powder
  18. Sev / Namkeen
  19. Pomogranate seeds
  20. Sweet chutney
  21. green chutney
  22. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. SOAK CHICKPEAS OVERNIGHT
  2. TAKE REQUIRED ONION, FRIED GARLIC, RED CHILLI POWDER, TURMERIC, PEPPER, JEERA, CORIANDER AND SALT
  3. ADD SOAKED CHICKPEAS AND OTHER INGREDIENTS TO BLENDER. GRIND TO COARSE MIXTURE
  4. ADD 1 TBSP BESAN AND MIX WELL. SHAPE SMALL BALLS
  5. DEEP FRY FALAFEL
  6. REST FALAFEL FOR A WHILE
  7. ARRANGE CUT FALAFEL ON PAPDIS
  8. GARNISH WITH CURD
  9. GARNISH WITH CHAT MASALA, RED CHILLI POWDER, SEV AND POMOGRANATE SEEDS
