ABOUT Khichdi Khakras RECIPE

This is heirlooms recipe , my mom used to make ,these are made of cooked khichdi wheat flour and sesame seeds enhance its taste , best snack for everyone , ageold persons , we can carry these khichdi khakras in tiffin , while travelling , there shelf life is 8-9 days , we can enjoy these khakhras with tea , coffee ,with dips and sauces , aachars , you can store them and enjoy so friends do try these and share your experience

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat flour 3tbsp
  2. Gram flour 1tbsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Cooked khichdi 3tbsp
  5. Red chilly powder 1tsp
  6. dry corriander powder 1tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  8. Green chilly crushed 1 tsp
  9. Ginger crushed 1/2 tsp
  10. 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  12. Oil 1tsp for binding dough
  13. Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. TAKE A BOWL. ADD 3 TBSP KHICHDI
  2. ADD 3 TBSP WHEAT FLOUR AND 2 TBSP GRAM FLOUR
  3. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF GREEN CHILLIES AND GINGER
  4. ADD 1 TSP OF SESAME SEEDS
  5. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC AND CORIANDER POWDER
  6. ADD 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA POWDER AND SALT TO TASTE
  7. ADD 1 TSP OIL. MIX WELL AND MAKE A SEMI-SOFT DOUGH.
  8. MAKE EQUAL SIZE DOUGH BALLS
  9. ROLL THE BALLS INTO THIN CHAPPATIS
  10. COOK THESE KAKHRAS IN A HOT TAWA.
  11. APPLY OIL AND PRESS WHILE COOKING TILL IT IS GOLDEN IN COLOUR
  12. DELICIOUS AND CRISPY KHAKHRAS ARE READY!
