This is a luxurious breakfast, specially to be made for weekends and special occasions, crispy fluffy pooris with a yummy chutney made with besan.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Poori dough :
  2. atta / Multigrain atta 2 cups
  3. salt
  4. water
  5. oil
  6. For Bombay Chutney :
  7. oil
  8. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  9. onion 2 sliced
  10. Green chilli 1
  11. tomato 1 optional
  12. salt
  13. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  14. besan 2 tbsp
  15. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  16. curry leaves 10
  17. coriander leaves
  18. oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. TAKE 2 CUPS ATTA. ADD SALT. MIX WELL. ADD WATER. KNEAD STIFF DOUGH
  2. ADD 1 TSP OIL. MIX WELL
  3. REST THE DOUGH
  4. HEAT OIL. ADD MUSTARD. WHEN IT CRACKS ADD SLICED ONION
  5. ADD GREEN CHILLI. SAUTE
  6. ADD CURRY AND CORIANDER LEAVES
  7. ADD CHOPPED TOMATO. SAUTE (ITS OPTIONAL STEP)
  8. ADD SALT AND TURMERIC
  9. MIX 2 TBSP BESAN, 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER AND WATER TO MAKE A PASTE. ADD THE PASTE
  10. ADD WATER. BOIL FOR 3-5 MINS ON LOW FLAME
  11. SHAPE SMALL BALLS
  12. USE PRESSER TO MAKE POORIS
  13. DEEP FRY PURIS TILL THE COLOUR CHANGES TO GOLDEN BROWN
  14. POORI READY TO SERVE
