Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup oats
  2. 1/2 tsp salt
  3. 1 1/2 cup water
  4. 1/4 cup cooking oil
  5. For stuffing...
  6. 2 tsp oil
  7. 1 cup onion chopped
  8. 1 cup fenugreek leaves chopped
  9. 1 cup spinach chopped
  10. 1/4 tsp salt
  11. 1 cup brown chickpeas boiled
  12. For tikka..
  13. Few toothpicks
  14. 1/2 cup onion slices
  15. 1/2 cup cucumber slices
  16. Few Indian borage leaves

Instructions

  1. BLEND OATS AND SALT IN A MIXER USING WATER.
  2. TRANSFER INTO A BOWL.
  3. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, COVER WITH A LID AND KEEP ASIDE 6 HOURS FOR FERMENTATION.
  4. FOR STUFFING - FRY ONION IN HOT OIL.
  5. FURTHER ADD SPINACH AND FENUGREEK LEAVES.
  6. ADD IN SALT AND GARLIC GINGER PASTE.
  7. NOW ADD SPROUTED CHICKPEAS AND SAUTE WELL.
  8. CLOSE THE LID AND COOK FOR 3 MINUTES, SWITCH OFF AND LET IT BE COOL.
  9. GRAIN SMOOTHLY THIS PALYAM.
  10. DO GOOSEBERRY SIZED BALLS OUT OF IT.
  11. HEAT THE APPE MOULD ON A MEDIUM FLAME AND ADD FEW DROPS OF OIL.
  12. FILL THE HOLES WITH BATTER AND STUFFING.
  13. COVER AND COOK.
  14. BASE TURNS GOLDEN, FLIP IT OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE.
  15. COOK IN LOW HEAT FOR A MINUTE AND REMOVE THEM.
  16. NOW JUST BURN ONION SLICES AND KEEP ASIDE.
  17. FOLLOWED BY CUCUMBER SLICES.
  18. THEN INDIAN BORAGE LEAVES
  19. FIRST, INSERT INDIAN BORAGE, THEN ONION, CUCUMBER AND APPE.
  20. FOLLOW THE SAME IN REMAINING TOOTHPICKS ALSO.
  21. JOIN 2 TOOTHPICKS AND SPREAD TOMATO KETCHUP.
  22. READY TO SERVE.
