Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sabudan 1 cup
  2. Ghee 2 tsp
  3. water 1 ltr
  4. Grated coconut 1 cup
  5. soaked rice 1/2 cup
  6. Water 2 cup for grain and strain
  7. Jaggery 2 cup
  8. Milkmaid 3 tsp
  9. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  10. Handful of dry nuts (yours choice)
  11. 1/2 tsp ghee to fry
  12. Few raisins
  13. Saffron 6 pods
  14. Milk 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. ROAST SABUDANA 5 MINUTES IN A LOW FLAME BY ADDING GHEE.
  2. ADD INTO BOILING WATER.
  3. ADD SOAKED RICE AND COCONUT WITH WATER INTO A MIXING JAR. .
  4. GRIND SMOOTHLY.
  5. STRAIN IT.
  6. HEAT GHEE AND FRY CHOPPED DRY NUTS.
  7. STIR AT INTERVALS, TILL COOK WELL AND SWITCH OFF THE FLAME.
  8. BOIL THE COCONUT-RICE MILK BY CONTINUOUSLY STIRRING IN MEDIUM FLAME .
  9. ONCE THE CONSISTENCY IS THICK ENOUGH, ADD JAGGERY.
  10. WHEN JAGGERY IS DISSOLVED , ADD MILKMAID.
  11. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER.
  12. ADD A PINCH OF SALT.
  13. NOW ADD SAFFRON DISSOLVED MILK.
  14. ADD COOKED SABUDANA
  15. NOW ADD RAISINS
  16. NOW ADD ROASTED DRY NUTS, READY TO SERVE.
  17. POUR INTO SERVING BOWLS.
  18. GARNISH WITH FEW DRY NUTS AND RAISINS.
