ABOUT Spicy Jhinga masala RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawns - 1 kg
  2. Onions - 1/2 kg
  3. Tomatoes - 3
  4. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  5. Garlic - 1 pod
  6. Coriander - 1 bunch
  7. Curry leaves - few
  8. Spices :
  9. Red chilli powder - 2 tsps
  10. Turmeric - 1 tsp
  11. Dhania jeera powder - 1 tbsp
  12. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil - 3 to 4 tbsps

Instructions

  1. CHOP 1/2 KG ONIONS FINELY GRIND 1/2 INCH GINGER 1 POD GARLIC TO FINE PASTE CLOVES - 3 CURRY LEAVES
  2. STIR FRY CLOVES, CHOPPED ONIONS, GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND FEW CURRY LEAVES
  3. ADD 3 CHOPPED TOMATOES 1 TSP TURMERIC
  4. 2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER SALT TO TASTE
  5. MIX WELL COVER AND COOK TILL MUSHY
  6. WHEN DONE OPEN MASH WITH LADDLE
  7. ADD 1 KG CLEANED PRAWNS
  8. ADD 2 TBSPS OF CHOPPED CORIANDER MIX AND LEAVE ON MEDIUM TO HIGH FLAME TO COOK
  9. AS IT SIMMERS ADD 1 TBSP DHANIA JEERA POWDER 1 TSP GARAM MASALA
  10. MIX WELL SIMMER WITHOUT COVER FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES
