ABOUT Beetroot Buttermilk Curry RECIPE

Beetroot is red in colour and it gives a good color to the dish, so it's very attractive. Beetroot helps to control heart disease and helps to lower the weight. Kids too like it.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Beetroot chopped 2 cup
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Water to boil 3/4 ltr
  4. Buttermilk 2 cup ( if it's so sour use less)
  5. Grated coconut
  6. Green chilli 1
  7. For seasoning....
  8. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  9. Urad dal 1/2 tsp
  10. Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. Cooking oil 1tsp

Instructions

  1. BOIL 2 CUPS BEETROOT WITH 2 CUPS WATER
  2. ADD SALT TO TASTE
  3. ADD 1 CUP GRATED COCONUT, 2 CUPS BUTTERMILK, 1 GREEN CHILLI TO A GRINDER
  4. BLEND TILL SMOOTH
  5. ADD IT TO THE COOKED BEETROOT
  6. ADD 1 CUP BUTTERMILK
  7. WHEN THE CURRY STARTS BOILING, TAKE OFF HEAT
  8. HEAT 1 TSP OIL, ADD 1/4 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, 1/2 TSP FENUGREEK SEEDS
  9. ADD 1/2 TSP URAD DAL, 1-2 DRY RED CHILLIES
  10. ADD SEASONING TO THE CURRY
