Dal makhni is made with whole dal ,, cream ,rajma ,whole spices and butter .it takes generelly lots of cooking time but here we cook it only in 20 minutes .it taste judt like the one u get in a restaurent .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3/4cup black whole urad dal
  2. 1/4cup kidney beans rajma
  3. 2chopped onion
  4. 12 garlic cloves
  5. I nch ginger
  6. I table spoon garam.masala
  7. 1 teaspoon turmeric
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2 table spoon Corriander powder
  10. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  11. 1 teaspoon amchoor powder
  12. 1/2cup fresh cream
  13. 4 table spoon butter or desi ghee
  14. 1table spoon crushed kasoori methi

Instructions

  1. MIX OVERNIGHT SOAKED 3/4 CUP WHOLE URAD DAL & 1/4 CUP KIDNEY BEANS / RAJMA
  2. ADD 2 CHOPPED ONIONS
  3. ADD SALT, 1 TSP TURMERIC
  4. PUT IN A PRESSURE COOKER WITH SOME WATER
  5. PUT TO COOK
  6. COOK FOR 10 MINS ON HIGH HEAT
  7. ADD 3 EACH OF TOMATOES & GREEN CHILLIES TO A MIXER JAR
  8. ADD 12 GARLIC CLOVES, 1 TBSP GRATED GINGER
  9. GRIND INTO A SMOOTH PASTE
  10. HEAT 4 TBSP GHEE / BUTTER
  11. ADD THE KHADA MASALA
  12. ADD 1 TBSP CUMIN
  13. ADD GROUND PASTE
  14. COOK ON HIGH HEAT
  15. COOK TILL THE MASALA LEAVES OIL
  16. ADD 1 TBSP GARAM MASALA
  17. ADD 2 TBSP CORIANDER POWDER
  18. ADD 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  19. ADD 1 TSP AMCHOOR POWDER
  20. SAUTE FOR 2 MINS
  21. MASH COOKED DAL-RAJMA
  22. ADD TO THE MASALA
  23. SIMMER FOR 3-4 MINS
  24. ADD 1 TBSP KASOORI METHI
