ABOUT SOYA CHAP CURRY RECIPE

Protein rich soya chap is very much delish in north India. This spice full curry is served in main course with roti and rice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Soya chap sticks 5
  2. Oil 2 tbsp
  3. Bay leaf 1
  4. Cumin seeds 1 tesp
  5. Onions 2
  6. Ginger garlic paste 1 tesp
  7. Tomatoes 3
  8. Salt 3/4 tesp
  9. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  10. Turmeric powder 1/2 tesp
  11. Coriander powder 1/2 tesp
  12. Cream 1/4 cup
  13. Water 1 cup
  14. Garam masala 1/2 tesp
  15. Kitchen king masala 1/2 tesp
  16. Kasoori methi 1 tesp
  17. Green coriander leaves 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. HEAT 2 TBSP OIL AND ROAST SOYA CHAP STICKS.
  2. ROAST SOYA CHAP STICKS EVENLY BY TURNING THEM.
  3. THEY ARE DONE IN 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM PAN.
  4. IN SAME PAN SPLUTTER CUMIN SEEDS AND BAY LEAF. ADD 2 FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS.
  5. SAUTE ONIONS.
  6. WHEN ONIONS START CHANGING COLOR ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE. SAUTE.
  7. ADD 3 TOMATOES, PUREED.SAUTE.
  8. TOMATOES ARE DONE, RELEASED OIL.
  9. ADD 3/4 TESP SALT, 1/2 TESP RED CHILLI POWDER, 1/2 TESP TURMERIC POWDER, 1/2 TESP CORIANDER POWDER.
  10. ROAST SPICES FOR HALF MINUTE.
  11. ADD 1/4 CUP CREAM /MALAI AND COOK FOR A MINUTE.
  12. ADD 1 CUP OF WATER.
  13. WHEN WATER BOILS ADD ROASTED SOYA CHAP STICKS.
  14. COOK COVERED FOR 10 MINUTES ON SIM.
  15. ADD 1/2 TESP GARAM MASALA AND 1/2 TESP KITCHEN KING MASALA.
  16. ADD 1 TESP CRUSHED KASOORI METHI AND 1 TBSP GREEN CORIANDER LEAVES. MIX.
  17. SERVE SOYA CHAP CURRY WITH ROTI AND RICE.
