ABOUT Pineapple Rice RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. ghee 4 tsp
  2. Handful of chopped dry nuts
  3. 1 tsp raisins
  4. 1 cup chopped onion
  5. 1 tsp pepper powder
  6. 1/2 star anise
  7. 1/2 inch cinnamon
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 3 cloves
  10. 3 cinnamon buds
  11. 1 tsp fresh ginger finely chopped
  12. 1/2 cup pineapple chunks finely chopped
  13. 1 cup ground pineapple puree
  14. 1 cup bhasmati rice
  15. 3 cup water
  16. 1/4 cup grated coconut

Instructions

  1. HEAT 4 TSP OF GHEE, ADD CHOPPED DRY NUTS
  2. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, ADD RAISINS
  3. ADD CHOPPED ONION, SAUTE
  4. SAUTE TILL TENDER AND ADD PEPPER POWDER
  5. ADD HALF STAR ANISE, GINGER
  6. ADD CINNAMON BUDS, CLOVES AND CINNAMON
  7. ADD THE CHUNKS OF PINEAPPLE AND SAUTE TILL TENDER
  8. ADD CLEANLY WASHED BHASMATI RICE
  9. ADD THE HOMEMADE PUREE OF PINEAPPLE
  10. JAGGERY POWDER AND WATER
  11. ADD SALT, STIR ONCE AND COOK IN MEDIUM FLAME TILL WATER COMPLETELY ABSORBED
  12. ADD GRATED COCONUT, MIX WELL AND SERVE
