Making nimona is very simple but very delicious recipe .hari matar nimona ia a thick rich gravy of green peas with some spices and with urad dal badi . Basically known as kuharouri .its a winter delicacy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups fresh peas
  2. 1 cup diced potato
  3. 1/2cup urad dal badi (i used home made , u can use amritsari badi too)
  4. 1 onion chopped
  5. 1 inch Ginger
  6. 8 clove garlic
  7. 1 cup tomato puree
  8. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  10. 1 teaspoon garam nasala
  11. 1 teaspoon kitchen King masala
  12. 1 teaspoon corriander powder
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil to fry badi
  15. 2 table spoon Oil to cook masala

Instructions

  1. TAKE 2 CUP FRESH PEAS
  2. GRIND IT COARSELY
  3. TEXTURE IS LIKE THIS ONLY
  4. FRY URAD DAL BADI IN HOT OIL ON MEDIUM FLAME
  5. DRAIN OUT TILL CRISP AND GOLDEN
  6. FRY 1 CUP DICED POTATO
  7. DRAIN OUT TILL LIGHT GOLDEN
  8. 1 CHOPPED ONION ,7 TO 8 GARLIC ,1 INCH GINGER
  9. GRIND IN A BLENDER
  10. HEAT 2 TABLE SPOON OIL IN A WOK ADD ONION PASTE IN IT
  11. SOUTE IT
  12. ADD ALL DRY SPICES GARAM.MASALA , CORRIANDER POWDER , TURMERIC ,RED CHILLI POWDER ,
  13. KITCHEN KING MASALA AND SALT
  14. SAUTE
  15. ADD 1 CUP TOMATO PUREE IN IT
  16. SAUTE TILL SHINY
  17. ADD GROUNDED PEAS
  18. ADD 2 TABLE SPOON PEAS
  19. ADD FRIED POTATO AND FRIED URAD DAL BADI
  20. SAUTE FOR 5 MINUTES
  21. ADD A GLASS OF WATERAND MIX WELL
  22. COVER THE LID AND COOK FOR 15 MINUTES ON LOW MEDIUM FLAME
