ABOUT Idli Kebabs With Chutney Shots RECIPE

Delicious and healthy kebabs made from leftover vegetables idli and some fresh veggies. Taste is too good everyone loves to eat and you can also serve it as a starter in your party.

  1. Leftover vegetable Idli 5
  2. Chopped green onion 2 tbsp
  3. Chopped green garlic 2 tbsp
  4. Green peas 2 tbsp
  5. Grated carrot 1/2 cup
  6. Chopped green chilli 2
  7. Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  8. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  9. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil 1 tbs for tadka
  12. Oil 3-4 tbsp for shallow fry
  13. Hing 1/4 tsp
  14. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  15. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  16. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  17. Toothpick 8 - 10
  18. For serving
  19. Coconut coriander chatni 1 cup

Instructions

  1. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL
  2. ADD 1/4 TSP EACH OF ASAFOETIDA, TURMERIC, 2 TBSP SPRING ONIONS
  3. ADD 2 TBSP ONION GREENS, 2 GREEN CHILLIES, SAUTE FOR 2-3 MINS
  4. ADD 2 TBSP PEAS
  5. ADD 1/2 CUP GRATED CARROT, COOK FOR 5 MINS
  6. ADD 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
  7. ADD 1/2 TSP SUGAR
  8. ADD 2 TBSP FRESH CORIANDER
  9. CRUMBLE 5 LEFTOVER IDLIS
  10. ADD TO THE PAN, STIR IN
  11. ADD 1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA, SAUTE FOR A MINUTE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  12. COOL, SHAPE INTO KEBABS
  13. SHAPE ALL THE KEBABS
  14. SHALLOW FRY ON A HOT TAVA
  15. DRIZZLE SOME OIL ON TOP
  16. COOK FOR 8-10 MINS ON SLOW HEAT, FLIP
  17. DRIZZLE SOME OIL, COOK TILL BROWN
  18. TAKE OUT ON A PLATE, INSERT TOOTHPICKS
