Leftover cooked white rice and leftover squeezed ground coconut are used in ghee payasam. It's so tasty and easy to prepare.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Leftover cooked white rice 1 cup
  2. Leftover squeezed ground coconut 1/2 cup
  3. Jaggery 3/4 cup for syrup
  4. Water 1 cup for Jaggery syrup
  5. Salt a pinch
  6. Ghee 2 tsp
  7. Cashews few
  8. Raisins few

Instructions

  1. FRY CASHEWS IN GHEE AND ADD LEFTOVER COOKED WHITE RICE
  2. SAUTE AND ADD JAGGERY SYRUP (1/2 CUP JAGGERY SOAKED AND DISSOLVED IN 1 CUP OF WATER)
  3. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER, SALT TO TASTE AND RAISINS, LET IT BE COOK IN MEDIUM FLAME
  4. WHEN IT STARTS THICKENS, ADD GHEE AND SQUEEZED LEFTOVER GROUND COCONUT
  5. SAUTE WELL TO MIX UP, TURN OFF THE FLAME
