ABOUT Pav bhaji RECIPE

Pav bhaji is a famous and a tasty snack prevalent in Mumbai. So making this at home for my family with this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. tomatoes - 2 [chopped]
  2. onions - 2
  3. garlic-2
  4. chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. paw bhaji masala - 2 tbsp
  6. salt-1 teaspoon
  7. Boiled veggies [beans, carrots, cauliflower, peas, capsicum], [chopped] - 1 cup
  8. Refined oil
  9. Pav bread - 6
  10. butter [as required]

Instructions

  1. Boil the veggies prior and drain the, do not throw away the water as they are rich in nutrients and can be used in the gravy.
  2. Chop the tomatoes, onion and crush the garlic pods as well. Keep aside.
  3. Heat a pan with some oil. Add the crushed garlic and chopped onion, Saute till golden brown,
  4. Now add the tomatoes followed by the powdered masalas. Add salt as required and cook until the masala starts to leave oil from the sides of the pan.
  5. Now add the boiled veggies and cook for few minutes. Then add the water from the boiled vegetables, stir well. Mash them with amasher to get the mushy gravy. dimmer for few minutes until thick and done.
  6. Now heat some butter in a pan, roast the pav bread and serve with the bhaji cooked. Add some extra butter to the bhaji masala as well while serving.
