Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Idly rice 1 cup
  2. water
  3. lime juice 2 spoon
  4. salt
  5. Green chilly 1
  6. turmeric powder pinch
  7. Mustard seeds 1/2 Spoon
  8. hing [asafoetida] - 1/4 th tsp
  9. oil

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil and add asafoetida followed by mustard seeds. Then add the green chillies and the turmeric powder.
  2. Saute for few seconds and then add the rice, add salt and add ample amount of water to cook the rice.
  3. Stir occasionally and once the rice is cooked, mushy enough, add the lime juice. stir and serve.
