ABOUT Halwa RECIPE

The white rind left after cutting out the juicy pulp of watermelon is full of vitamins, fiber, antioxidants and is good for the skin and immunity as well. So today i am sharing the recipe of Halwa,made with watermelon rind. This halwa is really yummy and flavorful as well

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Watermelon rind white flesh grated 1 cup
  2. Milk 3/4 cup
  3. Condensed milk 1/4 cup
  4. Milk powder 1 tbsp
  5. Slivered pistachios 4-5
  6. Ghee/clarified butter 2 Tbsp

Instructions

  1. TAKE WATERMELON RINDS
  2. GRATE 1 CUP RIND
  3. SQUEEZE OUT EXCESS WATER FROM THE FLESH
  4. HEAT 2 TBSP GHEE
  5. ADD THE RIND, SAUTE FOR 5 MINS UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN
  6. ADD 3/4 MILK, SIMMER
  7. ADD 1/4 CUP CONDENSED MILK, COOK FOR 5 MINS
  8. ADD 1 TBSP MILK POWDER, COOK TILL THICK
  9. GARNISH WITH PISTACHIOS, SERVE HOT
